Basketball Recap: Acareon Thomas' Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science over Sacred Heart Academy

After flying high against Fellowship Baptist Academy last Tuesday, West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science came back down to earth. The West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science Eagles took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Sacred Heart Academy on Friday. The Eagles have struggled against Sacred Heart Academy recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Acareon Thomas, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari Thomas, who posted ten points.

West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science will take on Algoma Christian at 5:45 p.m. on December 13th. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they will challenge Martin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
