 On Thursday, Excel got themselves on the board against Cottage Hill Christian Academy, but Cottage Hill Christian Academy never followed suit. They skirted past the Cottage Hill Christian Academy Warriors  2-0. The  victory was nothing new for Excel as they're now sitting on three straight.
 Not much got past  Zaylon McMillan, who gave up just  two  hits to keep Cottage Hill Christian Academy off the board. McMillan has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Excel's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Jake Gandy, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 On Cottage Hill Christian Academy's side,  Parker Stinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
 Excel pushed their record up to 12-6 with that  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Cottage Hill Christian Academy, they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 6-11.
