Basketball Recap: Owasso Preparatory Academy Comes Up Short

If Owasso Preparatory Academy was riding high fresh off their 47-27 takedown of Wright Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions took a blow against the Aspire HomeSchool Trailblazers on Tuesday, falling 71-33.

Owasso Preparatory Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was BJ Okojie, who posted nine points. Eric Rinas was another key player, putting up eight points.

Owasso Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Aspire HomeSchool, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Owasso Preparatory Academy will challenge Prue at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Aspire HomeSchool, they will face off against South Coffeyville on Thursday.
