Basketball Recap: Venice's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Riverview Sarasota, Venice was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took down the Lemon Bay Manta Rays 61-46. The victory was some much needed relief for the Indians as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Lemon Bay lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Luke Brown, who went 6 for 9 on his way to 16 points. Another player making a difference was Blake Coleman, who posted ten points.

Venice's win bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Lemon Bay, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Venice has already played their next match, a 63-51 loss against Braden River on the 31st. As for Lemon Bay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 61-48 victory against Ida Baker on the 29th.
