Basketball Game Preview: Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons vs. Jemez Valley Warrior

The Monte Del Sol Charter Dragons will head out on the road to challenge the Jemez Valley Warrior at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Monte Del Sol Charter's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Wednesday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Thursday, Monte Del Sol Charter had to suffer through a 49-12 loss at the hands of Bosque.

Monte Del Sol Charter got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Melanie Flores and Renata Corral, who each put up five points. Faith Garcia held things down on the boards with six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Jemez Valley unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They were dealt a 58-26 defeat at the hands of Roy/Mosquero. While losing is never fun, the Warrior can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Blue/Lady Blue are ranked 12th).

Monte Del Sol Charter's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Jemez Valley, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Monte Del Sol Charter was dealt a bruising 67-23 loss at the hands of Jemez Valley when the teams last played back in December of 2015.
