Vianney faced St. Louis University in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Golden Griffins were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Junior Bills. This was a revenge game for the Golden Griffins: when they faced off against the Junior Bills on April 8th, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

While Vianney might've won, it sure wasn't easy: St. Louis University scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-19, 25-23.

Mitchell Jugo paced Vianney's offense, picking up 19 kills. Jugo got some help from Connor Johnson and his 40 assists. Sam Dore controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Vianney and bumps their season record up to 9-7-1. As for St. Louis University, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Vianney will venture away from home to square off against Chaminade at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Louis University, they will head out to take on Howell Central at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
