Basketball Recap: Guilderland Falls Despite Big Games from Cameron Kile and Christina Williams

Guilderland fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Coxsackie-Athens on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Riverhawks by a score of 72-69.

Despite the defeat, Guilderland had strong showings from Christina Williams, who posted 33 points, and Cameron Kile, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 18 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Emily Bigness, who had ten points and six assists.

Guilderland's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Coxsackie-Athens, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Coming up, Guilderland will be playing at home against Bethlehem Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Flying Dutchmen's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. Coxsackie-Athens will take on Watervliet in a holiday battle at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
