Rogers hasn't had much luck against Bowsher recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rams will square off against the BlueRacers at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Rogers will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Waite, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rams put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 9-2 win on Monday. The Rams have beaten the Indians the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Indians has come to flipping the script.

Dawson Davenport made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 18 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those 18 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Rogers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 0-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ethan Hendrick, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Caleb Doering was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Rogers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bowsher, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They skirted past Lima Senior 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the BlueRacers have posted since May 6, 2024.
Bowsher's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Schropp, who went 2-for-3 with one run. Another was Connor Corley, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.
Bowsher is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Rogers, their record is now 3-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rogers has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bowsher struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rogers might still be hurting after the 13-0 loss they got from Bowsher in their previous matchup on April 7th. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
