Baseball Recap: South Range Comes Up Short

South Range extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-3. They lost 16-3 to the North Bullitt Eagles. If the Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 7-5 to the Eagles when the teams met back in April of 2021, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for North Bullitt, their record is now 12-4. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 games by ten runs or more so far this season.

For North Bullitt's part, Cody Pendleton made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pendleton was even better at the plate, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-3. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, North Bullitt got a massive performance out of Rowen Burton, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases and three runs. Those four stolen bases gave Burton a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucas Oliver, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Looking ahead, South Range will challenge Walsingham Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for North Bullitt, they will be playing at home against Raceland at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
