Baseball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial and Vero Beach squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Centennial had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 3-2. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Indians: they've now lost four in a row.

Centennial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alfonso Hernandez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Centennial's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Vero Beach, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

As of now, neither Centennial nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
