Softball Recap: Laguna Hills Comes Up Short

Laguna Hills fell victim to Edison and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Edison Chargers, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 23 runs in the game before, the Hawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Laguna Hills saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Russell, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Laguna Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Edison, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laguna Hills will take on Newport Harbor at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Edison, they will square off against Capistrano Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
