Basketball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Cherokee suffered their biggest defeat since January 14th on Friday. They had to suffer through a 69-42 loss at the hands of the Daniel Boone Trailblazers. The loss continues a trend for the Chiefs in their meetings with the Trailblazers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Despite the defeat, Cherokee saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kenady Deal posted 14 points and six rebounds. Deal is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Rylee Sivert was another key player, putting up 12 points and eight boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cherokee fell to 7-1. As for Daniel Boone, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Coming up, Cherokee will square off against Claiborne at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Daniel Boone, they will face off against Volunteer at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trailblazers will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
