Recap: Kings Knights vs. Walnut Hills Eagles

The Kings Knights were the 53-44 winner over the Walnut Hills Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Kings fell to the Eagles 51-47. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Kings came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Eagles are ranked 522nd).

Cj Claxton was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists for Walnut Hills. Claxton is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Ty Austin, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds.

Kings' loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Walnut Hills, their victory ended a eight-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-14.

Kings will take on the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Walnut Hills, they will head out on the road to square off against the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Clermont is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
