Basketball Recap: Nasir Barnes' Big Game Can't Quite Lead William Penn over Central York

It was a proper cat-fight when William Penn took on Central York on Wednesday. The William Penn Bearcats fell 93-80 to the Central York Panthers. The loss continues a trend for the Bearcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost seven in a row.

William Penn's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nasir Barnes, who posted 21 points. Another player making a difference was David Warde, who put up 17 points.

William Penn's loss dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Central York, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
