Lumen Christi Catholic hasn't had much luck against Northwest recently, but that could start to change  on Thursday. The Titans will be playing at home against the Mounties  at 4:00  p.m. Lumen Christi Catholic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4  runs per game  this season.
Five must be Lumen Christi Catholic's lucky number: they beat St. Catherine of Siena Academy with that score not once but twice  on Wednesday. The Titans never let the Athletes get on the board and left with  a   5-0  win. Winning may never get old, but the Titans sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The result came thanks to  Ollie Powers's shutout, as she gave up just two  hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  Bree Okoniewski was  excellent,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs and one  stolen base.
Meanwhile, Northwest fought the good fight in their extra-innings  match against Columbia Central  on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of  4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  loss the Mounties have suffered  since May 2, 2024.
 Lucy Bivens (2025) spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on five hits and racked up ten Ks.
 At the plate, Northwest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Ari Good (2025), who  went 1-for-4 with one  run.
 Northwest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Lumen Christi Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
Northwest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them:  Lumen Christi Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .324. It's a different story for Northwest, though, as  they've  only  averaged .255. Will they be able to contain Lumen Christi Catholic's hitters?
