Football Recap: Deer Valley Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Deer Valley was feeling good fresh off their 42-0 takedown of Lincoln last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolverines were dealt a 62-8 defeat at the hands of the Roseville Tigers on Friday. The contest marked the Wolverines' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Adrian Masaniai threw for 76 yards and one TD. Anias Hightower was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards.

D'marcis Gresham was nothing short of spectacular for Roseville: he rushed for 97 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. Another back making a difference was Colton Wolfe, who rushed for 21 yards and two scores.

Deer Valley's loss dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Roseville, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.

Deer Valley and Roseville will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Wolverines are set to square off against their familiar foe Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. Meanwhile, Roseville will take on rival Yuba City at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
