Volleyball Recap: Rockingham County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Rockingham County lost against Morehead back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Panthers. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Rockingham County actually scored more points across those four sets (91-87), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-19, 8-25, 29-27, 25-20.

Kylie Stocum paced Rockingham County's offense, picking up seven kills. Stocum were helped by Aydan Cable and Lyla Robertson, who contributed six assists each. Stocum was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 11 aces.

Leading Morehead to victory were Aubrey Easley and Ella Wade. Easley had 11 digs and one assist, while Wade had three digs and two aces. What's more, Wade racked up 15 assists, the most she's had since back in September.

Rockingham County's loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Morehead, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-8.

Rockingham County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Bartlett Yancey on the 9th. As for Morehead, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Martinsville on the 8th.
