San Diego can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Kearny Komets 3-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cavers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

San Diego had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-21, 15-12.

San Diego's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 8-14. As for Kearny, they dropped their record down to 6-16 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

San Diego wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against La Jolla Country Day on the 17th. As for Kearny, they will be playing at home against Madison at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
