Softball Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They came up short against the Montwood Rams, falling 15-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 back in March.

Coronado saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payton Booth, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 9-22. As for Montwood, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 25-7.

Coincidentally, Coronado and Montwood will both be playing Eastwood the next time they take the field. The Thunderbirds will host the Troopers at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Rams will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
