Softball Recap: Milaca Wolves vs. Foley Falcons
Milaca had to endure a five-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against the Foley Falcons on Thursday as the Milaca Wolves made off with a 19-3 victory. The win was just what Milaca needed coming off of a 13-2 loss in their prior game.
Lily Roehl was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Cramlet, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
The victory got Milaca back to even at 1-1. As for Foley, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
Milaca didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-5 loss vs. Upsala on the 12th. As for Foley, they will be playing at home against St. Cloud Cathedral at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Cloud Cathedral will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Foley surely won't give up without a fight.
