Volleyball Recap: Schurr Takes a Loss

Schurr came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the San Gabriel Matadors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Spartans have suffered since September 9th.

While Schurr was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into San Gabriel's winning margin in every set. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-23.

Schurr's defeat dropped their record down to 9-18. As for San Gabriel, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Schurr is set to challenge their familiar foe Alhambra at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, San Gabriel will take on rival Bell Gardens at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
