Softball Game Preview: Havelock Rams vs. South Central Falcons

The Havelock Rams will challenge the South Central Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Havelock has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while South Central will come in with three straight victories.

On Tuesday, Havelock didn't have quite enough to beat New Bern and fell 7-6.

Andria Krupey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole Four bases. while going 4-for-4. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addison Jones, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, South Central was able to grind out a solid win over Laney on Tuesday, taking the game 9-6.

South Central got a big performance out of Lacey Spivey, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamdyn Haislip, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

South Central's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Havelock, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Havelock came up short against South Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 9-6. Can Havelock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
