Carolina Forest owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs 1-0. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Chiefs last Wednesday, they had to take a 4-0 loss.

Not much got past Parker Reavis, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep North Myrtle Beach off the board. Reavis has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Carolina Forest's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Gatlin Pasco, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Andrew Shupe also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Carolina Forest's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for North Myrtle Beach, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 10-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carolina Forest will face off against Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Myrtle Beach, they will square off against St. James at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Sharks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
