Friendship Collegiate Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They strolled past the Archbishop Carroll Lions with points to spare, taking the game 30-14. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Despite the defeat, Archbishop Carroll had strong showings from Tk Davis, who gained 117 total yards and a touchdown, and Mark Butler, who picked up 81 receiving yards and one TD. Butler showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 64 yards.

Archbishop Carroll's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Friendship Collegiate Academy will venture away from home to challenge Simon Gratz at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop Carroll, they will head out to take on Bell at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
