Hatch Valley is 8-2 against Lordsburg since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. Hatch Valley will take on Lordsburg at 3:00 p.m.

Hatch Valley came up short against Miyamura on Saturday, falling 9-3. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hatch Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was FRANKLIN WILLIAMS, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Lordsburg gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Jemez Valley with a sharp 12-2 win. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Isaac Murillo made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Lordsburg's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, David Valarde was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Victor Valdez was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

The victory made it two in a row for Lordsburg and bumps their season record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for Hatch Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
