Basketball Recap: Mt. Edgecumbe Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Sitka

On Friday, Mt. Edgecumbe faced Sitka in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Mt. Edgecumbe Braves were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 76-75 to the Sitka Wolves. The Braves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 71-70.

Mt. Edgecumbe's loss dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Sitka, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Mt. Edgecumbe nor Sitka have any future games scheduled.
