Basketball Recap: Latta Gets the Win

Lake View came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Latta, but Shayon Mcgruder wouldn't allow it. The Latta Vikings walked away with a 38-28 victory over the Lake View Wild Gators on Thursday thanks in part to Mcgruder, who posted 15 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Lake View lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cameron Wheeler, who put up four points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Roundtree, who earned five points.

Latta's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Lake View, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Latta wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 43-35 loss against Johnsonville on the 14th. Lake View has also already played their next contest, a 56-51 defeat against Hemingway on the 14th.
