Volleyball Recap: Central East Comes Up Short

Central East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Clovis Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 7th.

While Central East was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Clovis' winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-23.

Central East's loss dropped their record down to 2-25. As for Clovis, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Central East nor Clovis have any future games scheduled.
