Overland had won eight straight games dating back to last season and Trevor O'Shea did his part to make it nine on Saturday. Overland came out on top against the Rangeview Raiders by a score of 2-0 with plenty of help from O'Shea, who had 11 digs and two aces. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times he's played.

Overland not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Rangeview between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Overland pushed their record up to 8-0 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to blocks: they averaged an imposing 5.67 blocks in those games compared to only one in the others. As for Rangeview, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.
