Whitney moved up to 884 from 929 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 2A-1 Region III District 12. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of beating Maypearl 46-0.
Godley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Palmer, 19-18. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
Grandview's dynamic duo of Ryan Breton and Colby Lee proved tough for Life Red Oak to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Breton threw for 240 yards and four touchdowns and Lee had 131 yards receiving.
Austin Gilbert made the biggest impact on defense this week as Whitney defeated the Panthers. The senior recorded two fumbles and racked up one sack.
Ben Freeman was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 126 yards on 15 carries as Craig Stanton's team topped the Mustangs.
Grandview's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Zebras feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Breton has thrown for 1838 yards and 25 touchdowns this season, while Lee has 61 catches for 844 yards. Jordan Martinez leads the league in rushing with 869 yards.
Entering into this week's contest against the Bulldogs, Breton is short just 162 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Clifton takes on Godley. As it stands, the Cubs are in seventh, while Randy Brawner's team is in first.
The Wildcats and Palmer played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with the Wildcats eventually emerging with a 19-18 victory.
