Baseball Recap: Las Cruces Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Las Cruces proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Mayfield Trojans 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldawgs have posted since February 24, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Bubba Urenda, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Avila, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

The win was the fourth in a row for Las Cruces, bringing their record up to 10-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Mayfield, they now have a losing record of 5-6-1.
