Baseball Recap: Regis Victorious

While Regis's win against Central Linn wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rams narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Cobras 3-1. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Cobras: they've now won seven in a row.

The team relied heavily on Korben Schumacher, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. He has become a key player for Regis: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 0-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ben Valladares-Cormier, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Regis' victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Central Linn, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.

Regis will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cobras: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
