Football Recap: Mount Anthony Starts off Right with Win over Mt. Mansfield + How To Watch

Mount Anthony gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mt. Mansfield Cougars 48-7. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Asa Reis had a dynamite game, rushing for 195 yards and four scores on only 15 carries. Those 195 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Logan Baker, who picked up 80 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mount Anthony was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 307 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mt. Mansfield didn't rushed for any rushing yards.

Mount Anthony and Mt. Mansfield will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Patriots will challenge rival Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mt. Mansfield is set to square off against their familiar foe North Country Union at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
