Soccer Game Preview: Buckeye vs. Walsh Jesuit

The Buckeye Bucks will face off against the Walsh Jesuit Warriors at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Buckeye's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Buckeye's offense. They came up short against Bay on Wednesday, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Buckeye can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 377th, while Bay are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Walsh Jesuit kept a clean sheet against GlenOak on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 1-0. Walsh Jesuit haven't had any issues with GlenOak recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Walsh Jesuit's one-goal win came courtesy of Freddie Marcell, who's now up to seven this season.

Walsh Jesuit's win bumped their record up to 7-2-3. As for Buckeye, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9-2.
