Volleyball Recap: Emerson Robbins Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Hays

Dripping Springs not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 12th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hays Hawks. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Hawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

One reason for the win was Dripping Springs' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-17, 25-12.

Dripping Springs' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emerson Robbins led the charge by getting 14 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Robbins has posted over her last six matches. Another player making a difference was Allie Jenkins, who had 25 assists and three digs.

Dripping Springs' win bumped their record up to 17-13. As for Hays, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-14 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dripping Springs will welcome Midway at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hays, they will host San Marcos at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
