It was a good run, but Alleghany unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Buffalo Gap Bison by a score of 48-46. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered against the Bison since December 27, 2016.

Alleghany's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4. As for Buffalo Gap, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Alleghany will head out on the road to square off against Grace Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Buffalo Gap, they will be playing at home against Fort Defiance at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
