Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Westran

Westran had won three straight games and Cooper Harvey did his part to make it four on Thursday. The Westran Hornets strolled past the North Shelby Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 69-54 thanks in part to Harvey, who went 11 of 15 on his way to 26 points along with seven assists and five boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Marshall Kitchen, who posted 11 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.

Westran's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for North Shelby, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Westran will head out to face off against Northeast at 5:00 p.m. on December 28th. As for North Shelby, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Brashear at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
