West Greene had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Avella on Wednesday. The Pioneers blew past the Eagles 10-0. The Pioneers' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Payton Gilbert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
