Basketball Game Preview: Perry County Vikings vs. Santa Fe Wildcats

Perry County is on a four-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Santa Fe a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Monday. The Perry County Vikings will be home for the holidays to greet the Santa Fe Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Perry County had taken Hickman County down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Vikings had to suffer through a 64-30 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. The matchup marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe came up short against Huntland on Friday, falling 53-32.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Perry County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Perry County beat Santa Fe 56-49 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Do the Vikings have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
