DeLand won against Bartram Trail last Wednesday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Everything went the DeLand Bulldogs' way against the Father Lopez Green Wave as the DeLand Bulldogs made off with an 11-1 victory. The game marked the Bulldogs' most dominant win of the season.

The victory was the third in a row for DeLand, bringing their record for this year to 6-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Father Lopez, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Looking ahead, DeLand will be taking part in a tournament against IMG Academy Silver at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. IMG Academy Silver's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so DeLand's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Father Lopez, they will square off against Orangewood Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Father Lopez has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
