Baseball Recap: Winn Makes It Five in a Row at Home

There's no place like home for Winn, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Jay Mustangs on Friday. While the Mavericks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-16-1), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Winn's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.6 runs over those games. As for Jay, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Winn will square off against rival Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Jay is set to challenge their familiar foe Southwest Legacy at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
