Recap: Upton Bobcats vs. Meeteetse Longhorns

The Upton Bobcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Meeteetse 68-30 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Upton has managed all season.

Kaylin Bass and Kayla Horsen certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Bass scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Horsen scored 11 points along with five rebounds. The match was Horsen's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Meeteetse struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Upton pushed their record up to 4-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Meeteetse, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Upton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Moorcroft at 4:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Hopefully Moorcroft focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday. Meeteetse and Shoshoni will face off at 4:30 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Shoshoni's defense has only allowed 26.8 points per game this season, so Meeteetse's offense will have their work cut out for Meeteetse.
