Football Game Preview: East Kentwood Falcons vs. Grandville Bulldogs + Official Tickets

East Kentwood is 1-9 against Grandville since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in East Kentwood's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.

East Kentwood is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: Hudsonville, who was ranked third at the time (East Kentwood was ranked tenth). The Falcons were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 43-42 to the Eagles. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 20-7 in the first quarter.

East Kentwood might have lost, but man, Kayd Coffman was a machine: he rushed for 108 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, and also threw for 189 yards and three touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Grandville ended up a good deal behind Grand Haven on Friday and lost 42-28.

Grandville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for East Kentwood, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.

East Kentwood came up short against Grandville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 33-25. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
