Recap: Excel Christian Academy Spartans vs. Tenoroc Titans

The Excel Christian Academy Spartans entered their tilt with the Tenoroc Titans with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Excel Christian Academy strolled past Tenoroc with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 60-46. Given Excel Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Tenoroc is ranked 738th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jeremy Russell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with six assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Daquaylon Coffee, who scored nine points along with 17 rebounds and five blocks.

Excel Christian Academy pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.4 points per game. As for Tenoroc, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.

Excel Christian Academy will head out on the road to square off against McKeel Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. McKeel Academy will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Tenoroc won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mulberry at 8:00 p.m. on January 17th. Mulberry knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Tenoroc likes a good challenge.
