Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ra'quima Wilson and Jashay Tucker Lead Comer to Victory

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Comer). Everything went their way against The Noble Academy Griffins on Thursday as the Comer Catamounts made off with a 51-29 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Catamounts sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Leading Comer to victory were Jashay Tucker and Ra'Quima Wilson. Tucker posted 22 points, while Wilson had 17 points.

The Noble Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydney Casey, who earned 17 points. That was a full 58.6% of The Noble Academy's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Harding, who posted eight points.

Comer's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for The Noble Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Comer is taking a road trip to take on Johnson at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Noble Academy and Bulls College Prep will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
