Basketball Recap: Frontier Extends Home Winning Streak to Seven

Frontier waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 75-54 margin over the Wellston Tigers. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Tigers are ranked 359th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Frontier pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.6 points per game. As for Wellston, they moved to 9-12 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Frontier wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 58-41 victory against Hominy on the 25th. Wellston has also already played their next game, a 62-51 defeat against Glencoe on the 25th.
