JW North has gone a perfect 6-0 against Arlington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Huskies will face off against the Lions at 5:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Tuesday, JW North came up short against Hillcrest and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Huskies in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost three in a row.
JW North started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-18, 25-9, 25-21.

The losing side was boosted by Mina Aziz, who had 16 digs and three assists. He is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last five games he's played.
Meanwhile, Arlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Rancho Verde.
Arlington was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Rancho Verde work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 28-12, 22-25, 21-25, 15-9.
Arlington now has a losing record of 10-11. As for JW North, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-21.
JW North came out on top in a nail-biter against Arlington when the teams last played on April 1st, sneaking past 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
