Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Evansville Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hannah Higgs, who posted eight points in addition to seven steals and five assists. What's more, Higgs also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Hallie Higgs, who earned 15 points and eight rebounds.
Hannah wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Evansville Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, you can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Heritage Hills' strategy against Pike Central on Saturday. Everything went Heritage Hills' way against Pike Central as Heritage Hills made off with a 35-13 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.
Heritage Hills' win came from a few key players Evansville Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Mayci Litherland, who went 5 of 6 on her way to 17 points. Hadley Leibering was another key player, putting up nine points along with six boards and three steals.
Evansville Christian is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Heritage Hills, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Evansville Christian has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30.5 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Heritage Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 20.7 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
