After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Uwharrie Charter Academy, Eastern Randolph was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Trinity Bulldogs with a sharp 12-2 win. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Raegan Beaver made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Shelby Williams was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Vivian Underwood, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Eastern Randolph always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Eastern Randolph's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Trinity, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Eastern Randolph wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Providence Grove on the 1st. As for Trinity, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-2 defeat against Wheatmore on the 1st.
