Softball Game Preview: Kent Island Buccaneers vs. Parkside Rams

The Kent Island Buccaneers will face off against the Parkside Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kent Island has given up an average of 7.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Kent Island came up short against Queen Anne's County on Monday, falling 18-9. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Abby Mahaffey was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.

Meanwhile, Parkside beat Bennett 10-7 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Clippers: they've now won five in a row.

Parkside's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Kent Island, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Kent Island beat Parkside 10-7 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will Kent Island repeat their success, or does Parkside has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
